Insurance coverage for ABA therapy is often available with prior authorization for children who carry autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome diagnoses. If your child does not currently carry one of these diagnoses but you are interested in services, please reach out to discuss our private pay model.
We encourage families of all learners to inquire about our social skills groups. AAC device users are welcome!
Our social skills groups are desgined to be naturalistic so that they feel more like a fun opportunity to make friends as opposed to a therapy session. Children will learn and practice social skills through play, conversation, and shared activities that mirror everyday interactions. The BCBAs will support your child in the moment by modeling language, guiding peer interactions, and reinforcing targeted behaviors as they naturally occur while simultaneously making data-based decisions based on your child's performance on their individualized goals. The focus of our groups is on building meaningful connections, confidence, and functional skills that easily carry over into everday life.
Our services are directly implemented by BCBAs. We find this model provides the opportunity for real-time clinical decision making by master's level clinicians.
During our social skills groups, children are placed in small groups of 2–3 children per BCBA. This structure allows for more natural peer interaction and increased opportunities to practice social skills in real time. If your child requires more individualized support, we’re happy to create a plan with you to work on the prerequisite skills for social skills groups!
We offer both individual and group parent training and consultation to support our families. We require a minimum of monthly individual parent consultation sessions, which can be provided in person or via telehealth. During individual parent consultation sessions, we will review your child's current goals and progress. We can also troubleshoot any challenges that may come up outside of our sessions. During our optional group parent consultation sessions, we will review common challenging areas and provide general ideas for intervention strategies. Our goal is to empower caregivers with tools that feel realistic, collaborative, and easy to use in everyday life.
Empirical ABA currently offers center-based services in North Easton, MA as well as parent training and consultation in Bristol and Plymouth Counties.
Empirical ABA does not have a minimum hour requirement as we believe children need time to participate in extracurricular activities, explore other interests, and have some downtime.
Please start by filling out our inquiry form: https://empiricalaba.com/inquire
We will then arrange a phone call to discuss the services we offer and learn more about your family’s needs. We look forward to connecting with you!
